Certificate in Change Management - an intensive 1-day course

WHAT IS THE COURSE ABOUT?

All organizations are continuously faced with change. And a successful management of change is vital for any organisation to thrive in times of extreme change. The Internet of Things, Robotics, Artificial intelligence, augmented reality and other disruptive technologies - in such a world the only constant is change. Unless you understand what change is, you cannot drive a change process in your organization. And if you cannot drive the change process, the change might drive you. The inability to drive a change process can have serious and long-lasting ramifications on the performance of your organization.

How does management ensure that the planned results are being banked while at the same time having employees and stakeholders engaged to accept the solution? How do management ensure they feel competent to drive and implement the solution? The answers may already be there in the process of how we think and work with change management. And it is within the process that this one-day intensive Change Management course with IME lecturer Michael Nielsen has its focus.

It is about how you identify, classify and manage different types of change. From creating a sense of urgency when you identify a threat or see a new opportunity and all the way to institutionalizing a change program.

LEARNING APPROACH

  • The workshop is a mix of classroom teaching and simulation exercises with IME Change Management expert Michael Nielsen, where you as a student or your team will lead a fictional change program created to reflect real life change challenges. Together with 10-15 other managers in the classroom you will address leading change, communicating change, persuading an organisation about the need for change and dealing with resistance to change.
  • During the workshop you will be facing different change scenarios, you will have to deal with the consequences of your answers to change and you will see how far and fast you move forward in the change process.
