The Henley Centre for Coaching has received the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Coaching Award, in recognition of its impact and contribution to the coaching industry.
As part of Henley Business School, the Henley Centre for Coaching is a global leader in coaching research and training, providing a vibrant learning community where coaches can network, collaborate, share ideas, and develop new thinking in coaching.
The coaching award, which will be presented at the EMCC Global Annual Conference in June 2020, is given to those individuals or organisations who have made an ‘inspirational contribution’ to the coaching industry. Judges praised Henley’s excellence in research, the quality of its accredited programmes, and its international credentials with the Coaching Centre now delivering global programmes across Europe, South Africa and the Middle East.
Professor Jonathan Passmore, Director of the Henley Centre for Coaching, said:
”We are delighted to receive this award from the EMCC which recognises the high standard of teaching and quality of the learning experience that we offer. This is a testament to all of the hard work carried out by our staff and faculty in creating a vibrant learning community. We pride ourselves on delivering innovative projects and world class research to showcase our standing as a leading coaching centre and we ensure that this is embedded in all of our programmes. To have our Coaching Centre recognised in this way by the EMCC is a very significant achievement and honour for all of us here.”
The award follows a strong year which saw the Coaching Centre publish a Manifesto for Coaching Supervision; establish a National Coaching Resources Centre; host world-renowned coach Marshall Goldsmith; and deliver its triple-accredited Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching in new locations.
Since becoming the first triple-accredited business school to introduce coaching accreditation back in 2004, over 2,000 managers have completed a Henley coaching programme, including the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching, Professional Certificate in Supervision, and the MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change.
Membership of the Coaching Centre provides coaches with a vibrant learning community where they can network, collaborate, and continue their professional development through masterclasses, conferences, supervision, and webinars.
Henley is also home to the National Coaching Resources Centre, a depository for all English-speaking coaching, mentoring, and supervision-related materials, from the latest coaching books to archive material, videos, recordings, and e-journals.
