ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System)
ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) is a credit system widely used in higher education institutions across Europe to measure and compare learning achievements and facilitate the recognition of qualifications.
When comparing MBA programs, the number of ECTS credits is not necessarily an indicator of the program's quality or superiority. However, there are some considerations to keep in mind regarding the credit difference between programs with 90 ECTS and those with 60 ECTS:
While the number of ECTS credits alone does not determine the academic rigor of a program, a higher credit requirement may suggest a more demanding and comprehensive curriculum. Programs with 90 ECTS credits may have stricter academic requirements, more rigorous assignments, or a higher volume of coursework, which can contribute to a more academically challenging experience.
The effort leads to your reward
The Henley Executive MBA grants a total of 90 ECTS credits, equivalent to 1.5 Danish master's degrees. The conversion from English CATS points to ECTS points, following the EU conversion mechanism, results in 90 ECTS points. As per the English Ministry of Education, the Henley MBA is assigned 180 CATS points, which are then converted to 90 ECTS points using the 2/1 EU conversion scheme.
Consequently, the Henley MBA necessitates a greater number of assignments compared to the majority of Danish MBA programs and master's programs in general.
